Help ELI educate the world's youth about the benefits of abstinence.
|

Approximately every four minutes, someone in the world will become infected
with HIV/AIDS. These infections
occur most often in children and young adults between the ages of 10 and 24.
Startling, but
true.
Many can only imagine living in a world where families are destroyed,
lives are shattered, and hope is snuffed out everyday by HIV/AIDS. Often the
best preventative medicine is knowledge. With this philosophy, Equipping
Leaders Internationally (ELI) is stepping up to provide abstinence and HIV/AIDS
education training materials for youth leaders in this "digital library." All
of these materials are free of charge. The result is an invaluable resource to
leaders working with at-risk young people, the most vulnerable to HIV/AIDS.
Through
ELI, today's youth leaders have unprecedented access to donated materials from
premiere abstinence educational organizations throughout the world and
field-tested materials written in the developing world.
Equipping
youth leaders today . . . in order to better develop the
next generation of leaders for tomorrow.
Why
do you give materials away?
Dr.
Patrick Dixon, author, consultant, Europe's leading Futurist,
and founder of Global Change was asked the following:
Q:
Why give so much "intellectual capital" away with
free online videos, books and other resources? See

History
was made Friday April 30, 2004 when over thirty non-
governmental and community-based organisations from
across Nigeria converged at the International Film
and Broadcast Academy, Lagos to examine the HIV/AIDS
prevention strategy and proffer innovative ways forward.
The groups met under the aegis of the Nigeria Abstinence
Coalition – the umbrella body for individuals
and organisations promoting abstinence-until-marriage
and spousal fidelity within wedlock.
