Roth, Chairman
Roth was a public school math teacher before a change of careers led him to 27
years in ministry at Brooksite Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has recently
retired as the president of the Evangelical Mennonite denomination. Currently
Roth serves as vice-chairman of Christian Stewardship Association (CSA). Since
its inauguration in1998, 700 stewardship professionals have participated in CSA
Institutes including Prison Fellowship Ministries, Regent University, The
Salvation Army, and Crown Ministries.
Dr. Harold
Davis, Vice Chairman
Davis is the founder of the nationally recognized program, Talks Mentoring,
which has been featured on Focus on the Family and Larry Burkett's Money
Matters radio shows. He has consulted for mentoring programs with housing
authorities of Chicago, Illinois and Indianapolis, Indiana as well as many
school districts in various states. Locally he oversees 100 plus mentors for
young at-risk boys and girls in Champaign, Illinois. Davis has authored two
books, Talks My Father Never Had with Me and Talks My Father Never Had with Me
II.
Mr. Tim Hoerr,
Secretary/Treasurer
Hoerr is Chief Executive Officer of both i-Cyt Visionary Bioscience, Inc. and
i-Cyt Mission Technology, Inc., engineering, sales and distribution of
biotechnology companies. He serves as shareholder and chief financial officer
of the world's largest retailer of university athletic clothing, Game Day
Sports. Day Sports, Inc. In addition, Hoerr serves as the president of Life
Vision, Inc., a management and leadership consulting firm. He also sits on the
board of directors for Gill Athletics, Inc. the world's largest manufacturer of
track and field equipment. Hoerr was formerly a consulting partner with the
McGladrey and Pullen accounting firm.
Virginia Nurmi,
President
For over ten years, Nurmi was involved in public policy focusing on legislation
and policies that affected the family, part of that time as Director of Public
Policy for Focus on the Family's Illinois family policy council. With training
and experience in secondary education, a love for young people, and a teacher's
heart, Nurmi has a commitment to building strong families and the choices that
lead to the formation of strong families. Nurmi is a certified abstinence
educator through the Institute for Abstinence Education.
Paul Nurmi,
Chief Operating Officer
Nurmi served
as the executive director of East Central Illinois Youth for Christ from 1982
to 1998. Over the past 25 years, Nurmi has led close to 500 youth and adults on
20 short-term mission trips twelve countries. For the past two years, Nurmi has
served as Special Projects Director for Youth for Christ International,
particularly with an emphasis on Africa.
